Christmas For Seniors 2024

Toronto Cares it's proud to present our newest Holiday Program, 'Christmas For Seniors'!

As our trial run, we've chosen to support residents from four Woodgreen facilities. The majority of the clients whom we're helping through this initiative, are transitioning from shelters to these independent living facility, through the 'Homes for Good' & other similar programs.

HOW IT WORKS:

1. Seniors will make a "Christmas wish..." by writing down the item(s) they would like to receive, and getting an assigned gift number.
2. We will create a list on this website, and an Amazon wishlist, of the corresponding items.
3. Sponsors will register to join our program, to ensure no senior is left behind!!!
4. Then these sponsors will select or be assigned, a specific client number (or more than one) to provide gifts for, depending on your preferences.
5. Sponsors will shop for, or donate to purchase, the specific gift items, between a $40-50 value per person.
6. When possible, items are to be wrapped before drop-off, and tagged with the appropriate gift number.
7. Before Christmas, Toronto Cares will distribute these gifts to the seniors who requested them.
