I started working as a volunteer with Toronto Cares last year. I was immediately made to feel welcome and was impressed by the Executive Director, Sarah Robinson. She has a very hands-on approach. She takes time to get to know the clients and volunteers. She treats everyone with respect. The organization is very effective in providing help to some of the most vulnerable people in Toronto. I look forward to working on more projects with Toronto Cares.
Toronto Cares Initiative holds a special place in my heart for their dedication to helping people. Their mission is not just a statement but a powerful force that has touched lives, mine included. Grateful for the positive impact they bring to our community.
Volunteering with Toronto Cares has given me the opportunity to truly give back. Our clients are real people with real needs and Toronto Cares allows you to truly contribute to making their lives better. At Toronto Cares, Sarah truly understands the needs of our clients because she has had similar experiences. Whenever I drop off food to someone I know I'm making a difference, because they tell me that.
We've been volunteering as a family with Toronto cares for over a year now and have seen the incredible support the charity provides to seniors, families, and the unhoused. Sarah's hard work and dedication is very inspiring, and we appreciate the opportunity to be able to give back to the community and learn. We think the charity is doing remarkable work and we are honored to be a part of the volunteer team.
Toronto Cares is a wonderful organization that provides the connection and community care that Toronto needs. It has been a pleasure volunteering and I look forward to staying connected.
We've really enjoyed volunteering with Toronto cares. The organization is committed to helping individuals and families who need support the most. The mission and commitment is clear and we enjoy meeting new members of the community.
They have many flexible opportunities to volunteer, which accommodates any type of schedule. You get to work alongside compassionate people.
I am very impressed with how organized and dedicated Sarah and her team are. From volunteer email communications to keeping track of inventory of donated toys, everything works seamlessly. I truly believe Toronto Cares genuinely wants to help those who are in need.
I'm one of the new volunteers at Toronto Cares and was impressed with Sarah; her passion and helping out the marginalized and disadvantaged is quite contagious. I can sense her sincerity as we went about doing our tasks for the day, really enjoyed helping out and will continue to do so. Praying for more success for this wonderful organization.
It is such an honor and a privilege to volunteer for Sarah and the team at Toronto Cares. Sarah made it so easy for me to volunteer in my community and involve my family. The work is so rewarding and meaningful. I would recommend Toronto Cares to anyone looking to get involved and help out those in need.
I came to know Toronto Cares since Sarah Robinson started it back in 2020. When I was asked to join the Advisory Council, I was very happy and felt honored to be able to give back to the community. I was there for our Christmas Toy Drive, which was such a beautiful experience. It makes the heart feel warm to see our clients be able to give their children toys, and to have them eat healthy because they have fresh groceries from our market.
Volunteering with Toronto Cares has been a great experience, with flexible volunteer opportunities and clear communication from Sarah and the team. Toronto Cares ensures support is provided to those that need it most, effectively and efficiently!
The experience of volunteering for Toronto Cares is eye opening; realizing so many people in the city are struggling without essential needs for their daily lives. Sarah's impressive ability to organize volunteers and attract donations allows hundreds of recipients to obtain food and other necessities. The volunteering experience broadens our perspective and deepens our understanding of social inequalities.
While volunteering during a community meal at Moss Park, I met Sarah and was interested in helping her out when I could. Toronto Cares has their hands in many pots helping the vulnerable and less fortunate in Toronto, including but not limited to feeding and clothing the homeless, knapsacks of school supplies, Christmas gifts for the elderly and children, food market and clothing drives. Toronto Cares is a great place to support and volunteer with.
Toronto Cares Initiative is great because as a student, volunteering with them was a fantastic way of fulfilling my required hours, while doing something meaningful in my own city.
Toronto Cares is a great organization for youth volunteers. My daughter found different ways of helping out whether it be feeding the homeless, helping distribute school supplies or sorting donations. We look forward to supporting Toronto Cares through their community work.
Toronto Cares is a wonderful organization. As a volunteer, I found it to be very organized and user-friendly. They offer a wide range of times/locations and there is always something that suits my availability. The other volunteers are super friendly and helpful. I had a marvelous experience and look forward to volunteering again with Toronto Cares.
I'm an occasional volunteer driver with Toronto Cares since it started during Covid in 2020. It is better to give than to receive, and I enjoy giving my time when I can, to offer volunteer driving to various neighborhoods in Toronto, as well as to donate items. Sarah has been great and super easy to volunteer alongside and connect with!
Toronto Cares is supporting families in need. The events I have volunteered for, have been very well organized, information is communicated clearly to the volunteers and there is someone on site to address any questions and concerns.
When the pandemic began, I saw an evident rise in the number of people in the city struggling with basic necessities, and wished I could do more for them. Since volunteering with Toronto Cares, I have been able to be involved with the many different services that the charity provides and see the tangible ways that they positively impact our clients; from grocery boxes and produce markets, to the toy drives and the community homeless meals. I have learned a lot about selflessness and dedication from witnessing the drive of Sarah and fellow volunteers to help those in need in our community.
I have been volunteering with Toronto Cares for the last few months and will continue for the foreseeable future. The groundwork they lay by providing resources and services to those who need it most is exceptional and comes from a genuine place of wanting to better humanity. I feel privileged to align myself with such an organization.
As a recent volunteer of Toronto Cares, I have witnessed immense gratitude and kindness between our clients and volunteers. I have being extremely impressed with the opportunities that Toronto Cares, as well as the dedication of its team. As someone new to the city looking for opportunities to volunteer, I was quickly able to join the community and start contributing. Toronto Cares offers an array of choices for people wishing to devote their time, effort or financial resources to aid those in need, based on their availability and ability to help. Since joining I have felt very welcome and know my contributions are going a long way. I am looking forward to continuing this meaningful journey.
