NOW ACCEPTING: Clothing & More Donations Homeless Meal Donations Financial Donations
Thank you for considering employment with Toronto Cares Initiative non-profit organization, through the ACCES Employment Program, in partnership with Employment Ontario. We have several different positions available, but the following qualifications apply to all of them.
Half of the positions will start in May 2023, the other half will start in July 2023! All employment terms will last 7.35 weeks at 35 hours per week, in addition to the 3 week ACCES training program. Job training provided!
This position has two main responsibilities, researching grants that are accessible to both non-profits and charities, as well as writing the grant applications. Previous grant writing experience is an asset. Occasional on-site attendance may be required, but is mostly a work-from-home position.
This position requires experience with QuickBooks and Google Spreadsheet. Previous non-profit tax filing education or experience is an asset. Occasional on-site attendance may be required, but is mostly a work-from-home position.
The main responsibility for this position is to assist in coordinating our large Community Fair event. Events education or experience is an asset. Occasional on-site attendance may be required, but is mostly a work-from-home position.
This position requires strong leadership and interpersonal skills. The primary responsibility will be to communicate with current volunteers and recruit new ones. Strong organizational skills will also be required to create an up-to-date volunteer database. Previous volunteer coordination experience is an asset. Occasional on-site attendance may be required, but is mostly a work-from-home position.
This position is available to students who are entering or have completed their senior year of secondary school. This vacancy is best filled by someone who is a self-starter, but also able to follow directions while working independently. This position will be shared by two candidates who will be assisting the president of the organization with general day-to-day and organizational tasks. Occasional on-site attendance may be required, but is mostly a work-from-home position.
This position is available to students who are entering or have completed their senior year of secondary school. It requires previous workplace or volunteer experience managing multiple social media accounts including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and more. A successful candidate will be able to create and curate content and engage our online presence. Photography skills are an asset. Occasional on-site attendance may be required but this is mostly a work-from-home position.
